Bio

David has extensive experience and involvement with the strategy, design, development, introduction, implementation and post-implementation of all elements of Information, Records, Knowledge and Enterprise Content Management solutions to many organisations both in Australia and overseas. He has conducted information audits, built information governance frameworks and established enterprise IM change programs, He is a widely published, internationally recognised advisor on these subjects

David currently works for the National Australia Bank as the Manager, Data Standards Governance leading a team of specialists that design, author and implement Standards (both Structured and Unstructured) for the bank.  In previous employment, David has worked for IBM Australia, Foster’s Brewing Group, twice for BHP Billiton, Arrow Energy, SANTOS, PWC, Xerox, various State and Federal Government organisations and a number of specialist consultancies. In all cases he was employed to build excellent information management practices across the organisations through the establishment and development of Information Management frameworks and networks (CoPs). David has also been employed as the Global Service Line Leader, Knowledge Management for Deloitte Consulting.

In 2006, David was the recipient of the Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to the development of Standards (both National and International) in the field of Information Management. He is the immediate, past Chairs (and thought leader) of Standards Australia IT/21 committee and the International Standards Organisation ISO TC46 SC11.
