  • 1.  What do you want to see or hear at M365 CoP?

    We are building our speaker list for the upcoming CoPs, and want to make it relevant. 

    Each speaker or group of speakers has 20 minutes. A speaker can be one person, multiple people, or a round-table.

    What messages do you want to hear (in 20 minutes)?

    Is there anyone that you know who you think would be good to hear from? Kylie Welch was a great example.

    Do you want a practical example shown?

    Anyone want to showcase an aspect of their work in 20minutes?

    Hi Carolyn,

    Here's a list of themes I would be personally interesting in hearing discussed:

    • Stakeholder management - when application owners and data custodians are in different teams, how do we effectively manage projects?
    • Legacy data rationalisation - applying retention policies and disposal schedules after the fact (what do we do with all that pre-existing data)
    • Educating users and monitoring compliance - what approaches are there to ensuring staff are doing what we expect them to do?
    • Reskilling & Upskilling - transforming traditional recordkeeping roles into information managers within SharePoint
    • Data loss prevention and insider risks of oversharing through AI

    I'm sure you already have most of that already on your list :-)

    Announcing: 

    10 September 2026 M365 CoP speaker is Karl Maftoum, showing us Purview.

    He'll demonstrate where it is, what it looks like, develop rules/policies aligned with an RDA. He'll discuss when you should be involved in decision making. 

    Recommendation: Don't miss this!
