Case Study: Good Information and Records Governance Underpins the Brave New AI World

Governance matters. It is the foundation to a successful information and records management program. The role of technology is to enable governance. Yet in many organisations it is the other way around and technology is the driver. This can lead to substantial effort and costs but limited results due to the lack of the technology initiatives being part of a wide-ranging information governance framework.

This presentation will showcase the value and impact of information and records governance. It will demonstrate the key attributes and core components of a governance model.

Sheryl Mapp | Executive Manager Records Governance, Westpac

Sheryl Mapp is an information and data governance specialist. She has worked across government at the federal and state levels in NSW and Victoria, and in the private sector.

Sheryl works with organisations to introduce compliant and efficient strategies, frameworks, models, and programs to support managing their information assets. She is an industry award winner (J Edis Linton award) for delivering excellence and innovation in recordkeeping.

Gone Digital But Still Doing Data Entry?

For many organisations, the promise of operational efficiencies to be gained from going digital has not extended itself to those responsible for information management and specifically record keeping.

Many digital transformation initiatives, whilst reducing an organisations dependency on paper have not reduced the amount of data entry involved in capturing, processing and actioning business information required to initiate critical business processes.

This case study presentation will feature several EzeScan customer responses in the attempt to automatically capture digital born assets generated by digital transformation projects.

Demos Gougoulas | Director, Sales & Marketing, EzeScan

An Architect by profession, Demos’ career has spanned the transition from paper to cad and experienced the business upheaval of digital transformation.

At EzeScan, he is passionate about helping his customers achieve their digital business goals.
He enjoys working for a company that creates smart technology that people love to use.
